استفاده از While و When در گذشته استمراری 
while شبیه یه فرآیند پیوسته عمل می‌کنه که دو کار هم‌زمان در گذشته اتفاق می‌افتند:
“While I was typing code, my laptop was overheating.”
اما when شبیه یه رویداد یا وقفه ناگهانیه؛ وقتی یه اتفاق، کار دیگه‌ای رو قطع می‌کنه:
“I was coding when my computer crashed!”
وقتی قراره درباره هم‌زمانی کارها یا قطع‌شدن ناگهانی اون‌ها صحبت کنی، از while برای کارهای هم‌زمان و از when برای وقفه‌ها استفاده کن.

"The Internet in the Past"
Years ago, the internet was completely different. It was slow, expensive, and mostly used for simple tasks. People couldn’t stream videos or play games online, and downloading a file sometimes took hours. Most people used the internet at home or in internet cafes because smartphones didn’t exist yet.
Connecting to the internet was often a challenge. Modems made loud noises, and you had to wait while the page was loading. If someone picked up the phone, the connection often stopped! Emails were the most common way to communicate, and chatting online was text-only—no photos, no videos.
Websites were very basic, usually filled with text and a few pictures. Businesses started creating websites, but they were simple compared to today’s standards. Internet speed was slow, but many people were still amazed by this new technology.
Although the internet wasn’t perfect, people were excited to try it. Those early years were full of curiosity, and even waiting for a page to load felt like a new adventure.

گذشته استمراری( past progressive) برای صحبت کردن درباره‌ی کاری که در گذشته در حال انجام شدن بوده است، استفاده می‌شود. معمولاً این زمان برای توصیف فعالیت‌هایی که مدت کوتاهی ادامه داشته‌اند یا در لحظه‌ای خاص در گذشته رخ داده‌اند، به کار می‌رود.
✅ فرمول:
فاعل + was/were + فعل + ing
✅✅ برنامه‌نویس‌ها کی می‌تونن از گذشته استمراری استفاده کنن؟
برنامه‌نویس‌ها می‌تونن از این زمان برای توضیح دادن فعالیت‌هایی استفاده کنن که در لحظه‌ای مشخص در گذشته انجام می‌دادند. برای مثال:
- I was debugging the code when the error appeared.
- We were working on the UI design while the server was being deployed.
